THUNDERFISH DEEP SEA ADVENTURES

 

Thunderfish is committed to providing high quality, reasonably priced adventure packages to the individual who dares to challenge the ocean.   Captain Bill Palmer is a professional diver with over 30 years of experience in ocean wreck diving.  Whether you dare to explore long forgotten wrecks of once proud vessels or test your endurance against a 80 pound blue shark, Thunderfish   will customize your adventure to ensure an experience that will last a lifetime.

 

The Thunderfish is a 35' down East Sports Fisherman, designed to be at home in the not so calm North Eastern waters.

She is of fiberglass construction and powered by a Cat Diesel to afford safety and reliability.  The Thunderfish has been designed to comfortably accomodate both the serious wreck diver and fisherman.  She is equiped with the latest electronics, including: G.P.S., Radar, Loran, Video Fish Finders, Radios, and a television to view videos of wreck sites and fishing techniques.  The interior has a table, padded bench seats, a fresh water sink and icebox, and bunks for the tired sailor.

DIRECTIONS:

From CT and points south - Take Rte. 95 North to exit 92.   Go right at the end of the ramp onto Rte. 2 East.  Follow Route 2 to Rte. 78 East.  Follow the connector to the end and go left at the light onto Rte. 1 North.   Take the East Matunuk/Snug Harbor/Jerusalem exit.  At the fork in the road, bear right and follow this road (Succotash Rd.) until the end and Jim's Dock will be on your right hand side.  From MA and points north - Take 95 South to exit 9 (on left).  Follow Rte. 4 South to Rte 1 South.  Proceed on Rte. 1 South to the Point Judith/Galilee exit.  Get on Rte. 1 South and take the East Matunuk/Snug Harbor/Jerusalem exit.  At the fork in the road, bear right and follow this road (Succotash Rd.) until the end and Jim's Dock will be on your right hand side.

Captain Palmer is a licensed Coast Guard Captain with over three decades of practical experience in New England waters.  He has over twenty eight years of experience diving wrecks along the eastern seaboard. As well as being a dive instructor specializing in advanced wreck diving, he is an avid historian and underwater videographer.  He produces numerous videos on wrecks, wreck diving, and fishing. Some of his credits include C.P.T.V., Discovery Channel, A&E, and Times Mirror.  He is well known for his lectures and presentations around the east coast.  He is an associate member of the Boston Sea Rovers and a member of the American Society of Oceanographers.
